Facts first. Your judgment stays yours.
The Honest Map helps Canadians inspect public facts where those facts actually belong. It does not tell anyone what to think.
Why Corbin started it
Corbin Chivers kept seeing public numbers presented without enough plain-English context about the year, unit or place they described. He started The Honest Map so Canadians could inspect the facts without being handed a conclusion.
Read the longer founder story
A statistic can be technically correct and still mislead when a province is treated like a city, an old year looks current, or a missing measure quietly becomes another one. The Honest Map makes those choices visible, keeps the source close and leaves the judgment with the reader.
What it covers
People, housing, work, income, public safety, education, climate, tax and federal-election facts use their own named geography. A municipality is not a police area, climate station, housing market or electoral district.
What it refuses to do
It will not quietly swap Population in when another measure is missing. It will not stretch a province value over a municipality or call a station reading an area average.
